iPhone OS 4.0

Apple has not been saying much about the upcoming 4.0 release of the iPhone OS.  Last year's 3.0 release brought a couple of much needed features, like search and copy/paste, but the overall functionality of the phone has not changed for quite some time.  Android, WebOS, and the new Windows Phone 7 have all made interface advanced while Apple has stood fast.  One thing I really miss from my Windows Mobile 5 phone (from 4 years ago) is a home screen.  On that screen, which appeared when you unlocked it, was your appointments, missed calls, emails, etc all aggregated.  I think there should be a dedicated 'pane' that has all of your information collected to see at a glance without having to open apps.
